And vacations are planned but there are moments for spontaneous enjoyment. The Sundance Film Festival is a destination filled with coveted dining experiences, exclusive access to independent films, celebrities, and some of the best skiing trails. Offering our cardmembers exclusive packages that ensure they experience Sundance like an insider is where we win.

SUNDANCE FILM FESTIVAL ACTIVATION
CHASE SAPPHIRE ON MAIN
Our event space on Main Street was a prime destination for festival attendees to appreciate Sundance from an insider’s point-of-view. Visitors had the chance to learn about the Chase Sapphire Preferred card and the associated benefits of travel and dining but will most importantly, leave having enjoyed something unique and memorable. The first floor of chase sapphire on main was inspired and designed around four popular travel destinations - which reinforced one of our card benefits of 2X the points on travel. This space was the perfect backdrop for our three VIP party events that were also held in the space.
FILM MEMORABILIA GALLERY
One of the most unique spaces at the film festival was our very own curated film memorabilia gallery. It was no easy feat - our internal agency team spent months calling, emailing, even driving to different states to collect all of the memorabilia from nine notable Sundance films that were featured in our Chase Sapphire on Main Gallery.
ON LOCATION PASS
Every person who entered our space received an On Location Pass. They were encouraged to engage with their pass like you would our product. By activating their cards at one of our kiosks and opting into Facebook they received a voucher that could be used at one of four local travel or dining retail partners.
The On Location Pass delivered more of what Sundance had to offer: the Films, the food and the feeling of being a festival insider. By linking these enhanced experiences to Chase Sapphire Preferred we reinforced our card benefits and 2x Points on Dining & Travel.
Movie Set Photo-ops
This was more than just a stationary photo-booth. Each day one of four unique Sundance film sets were recreated for festival attendees to get dressed up in character and photographed by our on-site photographer.
VIDEO POSTCARDS
After being interviewed on the balcony of Chase Sapphire On Main, guests had the opportunity to share video postcards with friends and family back home. Videos were posted daily to the social hub and could be downloaded at the Chase website.

EXCLUSIVE DINING PARTNERSHIP
We partnered with OpenTable and JustLuxe to provided booking on-site to current cardmembers with exclusive access and reservations at hard to reserve Park city restaurants.
BOX OFFICE PRIORITY TICKET LINE
Our priority ticket line creates card envy and showed cardmembers that there truly was more to enjoy at Sundance. No lines meant faster service to get tickets to those must see films before they sold out.
VIP PREMIERE PARTY
Chase sapphire hosted a post premiere party for the “Touchy feely” film. Attendees experienced a first class event, socializing with the cast and crew of the film, dining on exquisite fare and watching intimate and exclusive live performances by Tomo Nakayama and Rock band JJAMZ.
CARDMEMBER PARTIES
Three invitation only VIP parties were held at Chase Sapphire on main. Guests included chase sapphire executives, cardmembers, and filmmakers. Talent appearances included four notable Sundance directors Edward Burns, Drake Doremus, Rob Epstein and Jeffrey Friedman. Attendees enjoyed hor d’oeuvres and refreshments and left with some premium swag.
CINEMA CAFE
Offered cardmembers access to the Sundance Film Festival’s legendary Cinema Cafe for intimate panel discussions with directors and actors of notable Sundance Films.
